Who is XEDINE HA 1 mg/ml nasal spray recommended for?

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age who experience nasal congestion whose symptoms may include:

  • Stuffy nose
  • Pain and sensitivity in the facial sinuses
  • Cough and sensitivity in the facial sinuses
  • Cough due to mucus/cough to remove mucus
  • Annoying sinus pressure
  • Reduction or loss of odor

How is XEDINE HA 1 mg/ml nasal spray used?

Recommended dose for administration:

Adults and adolescents over 12 years of age:

  • 1 spray of XEDINE HA 1 mg/ml nasal spray in each nostril, up to 3 times a day.
  • XEDINE HA 1 mg/ml nasal spray should not be used in children under 12 years of age. For this group of patients there is another pharmaceutical concentration suitable for them, namely XEDINE HA 0.5 mg/ml.

Instructions for use:

  • The medicine is for nasal administration.
  • Before the first application, it is necessary to spray in the air several times (5 times) to obtain a uniform dose.
  • If the medicine is not used for a few days, it must be sprayed in the air, as test, at least once to obtain a uniform dose.
  • The medicine should be used after blowing the nose.
  • After application, the pump must be carefully wiped with a clean, dry paper towel and the protective cover must be applied.
  • For reasons of hygiene and to avoid the transmission of infections, each spray bottle should be used by one person.

Period of treatment:

  • XEDINE HA nasal spray should not be used for more than 7 days.
  • If no improvement in symptoms is observed or the symptoms worsen after 3 days of treatment, the clinical condition should be re-evaluated.
  • Excessive, long-term use can cause reactive hyperemia or rebound congestion.
  • The product can be used up to 6 months after the first use.
